Reflectors are absolutely visibility-enhancing and mandatory on every bicycle. However, the operation of reflectors is reactive. Light must shine on them first before they become visible. Think of a situation at a roundabout, if you approach from a corner of your eye, the light is too late on the reflector. The Ziemi ensures that you are constantly visible and well-lit while participating in traffic. Especially in the corner of the eye, you now stand out with a larger illuminated surface and your recognizability as a human.
The housing of Ziemi is designed in such a way that the light is directed only on the moving legs of the cyclist and then reflected back to the front and sides. This makes the white light visible only from the front and sides, and not from the back.
